The Aeronautical Engineering Experimental Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") was established in 2018 and is located on the beautiful Lizi Lake in Shuangfu Campus of Chongqing Jiaotong University, with the first phase of construction investment of more than 10 million yuan, a construction area of more than 3600 square meters, with 17 laboratories, more than 200 sets of experimental teaching equipment, to focus of the school to build the first batch of new secondary college demonstration teaching platform in Chongqing, the center has three functions: experimental teaching scientific and technological innovation, skills training.

1. Experimental teaching: The center has three platforms: basic experimental teaching of aeronautical engineering, practical teaching of aircraft and aero engine, design and manufacture and virtual simulation teaching. The construction of wind tunnel laboratory, aerodynamics laboratory, engineering thermodynamics laboratory, paddle hair comprehensive performance testing laboratory and other teaching laboratories, can effectively meet the aviation and related professional experimental, practical teaching needs.

2. Scientific and technological innovation: The Center has set up an advanced aeronautical energy power research team, aviation intelligent manufacturing technology research team and intelligent aircraft research and development and application research team, relying on the Green Aviation Technology Research Institute and its academician expert workstation and other scientific research platforms, engaged in green aviation energy power, intelligent manufacturing and intelligent drone technology and other directions of scientific research.

3. Skills training: The center has a virtual simulation training platform, a drone operator training platform, civil aviation maintenance skills training platform, to carry out civil aviation maintenance skills training, unmanned aerial vehicle pilot training, etc., to serve the local aviation industry.

The center has 1 director, 1 executive deputy director, the formation of a full-time teachers, experimental teachers and enterprise technical backbone including teaching teachers, including 10 full-time teachers, 6 part-time teachers, 2 part-time professor, 9 doctors, 1 professor-level senior engineers, 4 engineers, 5 from the enterprise's technical backbone.

At present, the center is in the second phase of planning and construction, to build more than 4000 square meters of experimental teaching building, the purchase of more than 20 million yuan of teaching and scientific research equipment. After the full completion of the center, will have more than 7,600 square meters of construction area of teaching and research space, more than 30 million yuan of teaching and scientific research equipment, teaching and scientific research capacity will be further enriched.
